Financial planning is at the core of any business venture and an important part of fundraising. No-one knows what the future looks like for a new venture, but the assumptions underlying financial projections reveal a lot about how the entrepreneurs think about the business. If there is a solid business case for pursuing the opportunity then the financial projections should show that.
Casteyo's founder Stefan Josefsson has worked extensively with financial planning and controls throughout his career. At the Royal Bank of Scotland he both evaluated a large number of financial projections and handled the monitoring of several of the leveraged finance group's portfolio companies. As an consultant he has helped a number of companies with their financial planning, presentations to various banks, investors and boards of directors, and ongoing reporting to large, international venture capital firms.
