Since the beginning of 2009 Stefan has consulted for or served in interim or longer-term executive positions at a dozen young, fast-growing companies in the Nordic region and the US, in industries such as biofuels, consumer electronics, semiconductors and enterprise software.
Before founding Casteyo Stefan spent ten years working and studying away from his home in southern Sweden, spending several years each in countries including Germany, the UK and the US. He worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2003 to 2008, where he was involved in origination, execution and portfolio management in the leveraged finance group, primarily focusing on large (>€500 million enterprise value) leveraged buyouts.
Stefan graduated with a Master of Science in Finance degree with a 4.0 GPA from Boston College where he received the Dean’s MSF Fellowship, the highest merit‐based scholarship offered for the MSF program, and a BA degree in International Business and Management from the European Business School London.
