Sofie finished her M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in January 2011 and joined Casteyo in February 2011. In her mechanical engineering studies she specialized in logistics focusing on production and inventory control and optimization throughout the supply chain. Within these studies she could apply her creative ability and her passion for programming and mathematics on optimization problems by using different simulation and statistical tools.
During her studies she also gathered practical working experience at a chemical plant in Malmö in Southern Sweden. This gave her insight into how well-performing companies can work in practice and that there is always room for improvements and further optimization.
